The night Bobcat Goldthwait nearly broke Conan O’Brien

So I’ve been too depressed over Conan O’Brien’s departure from Late Night to watch him a lot lately, so I’ve been pondering a lot of late-night comedy alternate histories. For instance, what would have happened if Bobcat Goldthwait had ruined Conan’s career one fateful night in 1993?

Just imagine the number of lost classic Simpsons episodes, a world without Triumph or the Masturbating Bear (note that the word “masturbate” was censored out in 1993), or…Late Night With Jon Stewart???

Have fun in LaLaLand, Conan. I’d come visit you, but um, that would require going to Los Angeles.
