My review of A View From the Bridge
The Grey Zelda production of A View from the Bridge was reviewed in Tuesday's Maroon. In short: great acting, terrible use of video. Still worth seeing for those who haven't seen the Arthur Miller classic.
Labels: 2007-2008, a view from the bridge, arthur miller, grey zelda

Hey, Ethan -
Thanks again for coming, but I have a couple of questions about your choices in the review.
When you talked to me in the lobby, you didn't inform me that my comments would be used in your review. Normally, journalists might say, "Can I quote you on that?"
I also took issue with the unfounded accusation that we paid Ed more than our actors. You had no reason to write that, either. For your information, our actors are being paid and the only thing that Ed was paid for was his video supplies and air fare. You were so into quoting me, that you could have asked that question before the show and I would have obliged you with the answer.
You also came on a night where we had some serious technical difficulties. You're welcome to your opinion on Dave Lykins's performance, but if anyone's to blame for the performance you saw, it should be us because you only saw half of the performance because there was that damned message in the middle of his face because our projector was overheating.
Good luck with your career in reviewing, but please take these comments to heart because there are other people who have read your review who have had some serious, angry questions about it.
Thank you,
Rebecca Zellar
